About Cape Sexual Health

We work in an open and meaningful way where we embrace our sexuality and normalize having ongoing sexuality conversations. Sexuality should not be shameful; it is part of being human and if there are problems it can negatively impact relationships and quality of life. By breaking the silence and taboos of talking openly about sex and intimacy gives opportunity for help and healing. As sexual medicine/health doctors we, primarily, see clients with sexual dysfunction with a physical component, frequently overlapping with psychological and relationship distress and manage in an interdisciplinary team. Associated sexuality care including; contraception, hormone therapy, menopause support, STI management, mens’ hormones, erectile difficulties, ejaculation problems, prostatectomy recovery, pelvic pain and more are included at the practice. With a post-graduate diploma in  pain management from UCT, managing patients with sexual pain and other pain conditions is a special interest.

An eternal student, 2026 is a year for a Post Graduate Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases at WITS.

Sexual Health

Sexual health is individualised in how we embrace our sexuality. Sexual health impacts our general wellbeing and quality of life. Sexual dysfunction causes may include physical, emotional or psychological factors. Low desire, difficulties with arousal, orgasm, erection, ejaculation or pain are some presenting stories.

General Wellness

Each patient is unique and seen within their physical, psychological and spiritual dimensions. Lifestyle healthy and sustainable choices support physical, psychological health, nutrition, restorative sleep, stress management and allow improved productivity and time to do what brings us joy.

Pain Management

Pain is an unpleasant sensation caused by tissue damage or the threat of damage. Pain that persists after expected healing time is called chronic and management involves attending to all aspects of the patients being and the external factors impacting recovery. Interdisciplinary team work is preferential.

Sex Positive Education

Sex positive education, for all ages with age-appropriate content empowers individuals with knowledge and tools to make healthy decisions about their sexuality. Consent, safety, boundaries, respect, values, communication, morals are important for confidence and self integrity. Any-all orientations, gender identities are welcome.
